The Risk:
- Credential leaks leading to unauthorized access
- Compromised AI models & sensitive data
- Difficult incident response and recovery
The Fix:
- Use AWS Secrets Manager or Parameter Store
- Enable automatic secrets rotation
- Integrate rotation with Lambda functions
- Avoid hardcoding—fetch secrets dynamically at runtime
